Philly/NYC based band the Blacktails will be hosting a record release party for their new album at the Puck in Doylestown, PA this Saturday, January 30th. They will be performing with local artist Meghan Cary.
The band’s members have been heavily involved in the NYC club and session scene for over a decade. Individually, they have shared the stage with blues giants like Muddy Waters and national acts like The Spin Doctors, Blues Travellers, and more.
“Our music is like Stevie Ray meets Santana watching Pulp Fiction,” said band member Peter Farrell, one of the founding member of the group, “On our new record we’re playing around with vocal arrangements that remind me of Jane’s Addiction. We’re real proud if this new record because it shows the band’s revolution.”
“We love playing in Philly because the fans are much more appreciative of the music,” said Peter, who has played at such Philadelphia hotspots as the Grape Street Pub. “In New York, there’s just too many bands to see.”
