New Burlesque Ain’t Your Grandmother’s Sex-Ed Class

Gigi Naglak and Meghann Williams will perform their two-person show Chlamydia dell’Arte: A Sex-Ed Burlesque as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Learn about safe sex, STDs, sexual orientation, oral sex,  menstruation, and much, much more through striptease, comedy, songs, and dance—all the parts of a traditional burlesque show. You’ve never taken a sex-ed class like this one! 
 
Originally funded by the Leeway Foundation, the show is created, written, choreographed and performed by Naglak and Williams. 
 
Gigi Naglak is a Philadelphia-area actor, dancer, choreographer, writer, and dramaturg. She can also been seen this Fringe in Tribe of Fools’Armageddon in Mushroom Village
. Gigi is a co-founder of Flashpoint Theatre Company.
 
Meghann Williams is a Philadelphia-area director, writer, and performer. She has recently worked with Theatre Exile, Philadelphia Theatre Workshop, and Brat Productions. Meghann is a co-founder of Flashpoint Theatre Company.
 
Megan Slater is the director and producer of the piece. Anastasia Anthony is the production stage manager. Music written by John Glaubitz, with Aaron Cromie and Meghann Williams. Set pieces designed by WD Forte. Puppet designed and projections edited by Aaron Cromie.Lighting design by Stephen Dombkoski.

The show will take place on September 9 @ 7 PM, September 10 @ 7 PM andSeptember 11 @ 10 PM at Second Stage at the Adrienne on  2030 Sansom Street.
